I%26#039;m planning to buy a new set of tennis shoes since my Adidas barracks are really worn out. I went around the net for possible tennis shoes I could buy but most of the best are really expensive.

Adidas Barricade IV - I got the chance to see them at the local Adidas store and I must say they%26#039;re stability is awesome. The quality is the best one Ive seen on adidas (well second to the adidas porsche laceless). but very expensive.

I%26#039;m looking for a high cut , all white , no mesh , light tennis shoes around $50-80 , any suggestions? Quality and durability is the number one factor for me

The Adidas Barricade IV%26#039;s are the best. If you want to try other ones, look at some Babolats and Nikes. I got Nikes for $60 at Sport%26#039;s Authority. Try going to a pro-shop or a Golfsmith, and if you want to look online, try www.tennis-warehouse.com.

Those r the shoes I use on my high school team. I love them. The best ever made in my opinion. If you%26#039;re looking 4 something a little less expensive though, I would go w/ the Babolat tennis shoes. Those r also really nice. Good luck. :)

I%26#039;ve found that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponges do a great job cleaning everything off tennis shoes. I%26#039;m not sure how it will do with the mesh part because none of my shoes have mesh, but it%26#039;d definitely be worth a shot. I%26#039;m a teacher and my shoes constantly get stepped on by students and the magic erasers get out all the scuffs and stains on tennis shoes that haven%26#039;t come out in the washing machine. I cut the magic eraser in half before I use it because it tends to crumble pretty fast scrubbing shoes and you don%26#039;t need to waste an entire sponge on one pair of shoes.
Reply:yes, the laundry detergent and bleach should work, it always works for me. and sometimes i use a tide-to-go pen too.

I tried washing them with water (like from the tap) and the mud just sunk into the mesh and made it brown and crusty. No matter what i do i can%26#039;t figure out how make them look new again... but i have an idea. Today i was going to run them through the washer, but i disided to ask you ppl and see if it will work and if it will ruin the shoes. They are not ALL white there is red, blue, black, ect. if that will effect anything... and if i can run put them through the washing mashine then what setting would work the best? thnx

The backpack has to be ALL mesh. We need the kind that has 2 of the large %26quot;main%26quot; compartments. We have one that we have been using since 2001. (surely got our money out of it). The one we have has 2 of the large main compartments, 1 medium, and then a smaller pencil holder type. I prefer Jansport brand as I know it will hold up. Reply:On your jeans, apply an ice cube for a few minutes and scrape off the bulk of the frozen gum. Then for both the shoes and the jeans, use a product called, GOOF-OFF which is for removing tar, paint and gum. It works!

As long as they%26#039;re not all or mostly leather, washing them in the washing machine is fine. The mesh should come clean, but you can pretreat, soak, and/or use a little bleach (color safe if there are other colors on the shoe that can bleed onto the white) to assist.

Reply:Oxy-clean and ammonia can be mixed with warm water to scrub out the mud with a generous amount of the solution and a tough cloth or just your hands and finger nails. rinse and let dry. if you want you can tumble dry them for a few minutes with a load of laundry to bring back the softness

I spray them with a stain spray (Spray %26amp; Wash for example) and detergent (Don%26#039;t use bleach unless they are white and 100% cotton tops. Bleach causes polyesters to turn an ugly color that is almost impossible to change ) and put them in the washer with white towels on gentle cycle and let air dry (NOT in dryer) If they are dark put them in the washer with jeans. You can add about a cup of baking soda to make them smell fresh.

Try using laundry detergent (Gain) and a toothbrush. That might work. I%26#039;ve used it on my shoes and it seemed to work ok. Probably best not to use bleach, it might stain your shoes a yelow color or it might make your shoes fall apart.

I bought a pair of sketchers with leather and nylon mesh on them. I submerged them in water and scrubbed the nylon mesh with oxyclean (I know, I know, I wasn%26#039;t thinking) and now the nylon mesh is stained green. How do I remove the green?

It%26#039;s not about removing the green. The green is what the black used to be until you bleached it out. Maybe use Golden Fluid Acrylic paints and paint the shoes back to the original color.

A stick went right into it and dragged up a bit causing a brown streak on the mesh part of my sneaker. To make it worse I decided to try to wipe it off with some napkins and a dab of water that were sitting around... but the napkin must have had some die of some sort... so now there%26#039;s this color smear.

Do you know anything that might could help restore some of the whiteness?

Reply:Put some Dawn dish soap on a clean white cloth %26amp; rub vigorously in circular motions, then rinse with a warm wet white cloth. The shoelaces can be soaked in hot water %26amp; Dawn dish soap also, for a while. After soaking them for a few minutes, remove them from the water, rub them vigorously, then return them to soak. Later, rinse with warm water. Squeeze dry inside paper towel, then hang to dry.
Reply:Okay, you need to get a paper towel or rag cloth and then spray a little bit of bleach or dispatch on it and wipe the smear with it. It will sure restore the white color of your sneaker.

Reply:Mesh could be nylon or cotton to cotton blend. Bleach fine for cottons, could discolor man-made mesh. Washing machine with full strength liquid laundry detergent brushed/ scrubbed into it. Or get a bar of Lava soap, water %26amp; scrub brush - - scrub it.
